'Mid Dakota Pride' by John C. Green
In November of 2018, with the help of local Hoven relationships, the well-known John C. Green offered to put his talent to work in effort to support the Hoven Sportsman's Club by creating a unique painting of a local scene fit for an outdoorsman. Fortunately for us, not only did John choose a scene that captures the morning sunrise over Swan Lake, but also the beautyof Lakeshore Lodge and a skyline filled with waterfowl we see all so often. The painting was put up for auction as a donation at the annual Hoven Sportsman's Club Banquet. We now possess the original print with full copyrights.
Biography: John is a lifelong resident of the Madison South Dakota area and has earned recognition in the art community through his faithful rendition of outdoor and scenic images that capture the spirit of his native state. He has been painting for over 40 years. An accomplished wildlife artist, John's work has raised over $3 million for Ducks Unlimited and other conservation organizations through the sale of his prints and original artwork at fund-raising banquets throughout the nation. This has earned him lifetime memberships in Ducks Unlimited in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
We thank John for what he has done for wild-life conservation and for this unique piece of art. We fully support the Hoven Sportsman's Club as well.
